You can only see that because the artist thought it wouldn't make it through the printing process(which it didn't in the actual comics). The CCA(Comics Code Authority) was in full effect in those days. Marvel broke with them some years ago(and just self-regulate now).

i know it makes me mad when they push crap like the inhumans and captain marvel all types of chances to succeed even with poor sales, but titles like this aren't afforded the same opportunity. so frustrating.

Because nipples are EVIL! I mean sure the occasional decapitation, impaling, and gore is ok in superhero comics, but a lil' flash of the tidday is a BIG no no.
