If you don't think the shade of Storms skin matters, than you're missing the point. I've waited so long to see dark skinned black women in a leading role in a comic book film. BP finally gave me and many other girls and women that. Now it's time for the X-Men movies to do their part.

Brown =/= Dark.

That girl playing Monet is black, and has a brown complexion. But she isn't dark.

Storms skin color doesn’t actually matter. In the movies because in comic Her pigmentation changes by every writer. The only reason it doesn’t matter because everyone knows she’s the only black female in the X-Men that EVERYONE knows.

She could be light skinned ask someone if they know who Storm is “Oh isn’t she that black lady with white hair?” Lol

It wasn't that TAS made her lightskinned, it's that they made all black people lightskinned. You see this often in a lot of mainstream(white-centric) animated/painted media. Their skin palette just doesn't go very dark, so the random one or two black characters are usually just a couple shades darker than the white majority of the cast. Notice Bishop and his sister are the exact same color as Storm. They are all the same 'black'. You can see that as well in this image from the Claremont run.

Of course in Claremont run the blacks shown in that pic are dark skin but the skin tone varies slight with some more then others on average.
Some are shown even darker like one of ladies in the pic.

Evolution and WATX were better at making her darker but then there was the anime which was clearly inspired by Halle Berry

The storm shown here does not look lightskin to me.Now in comics she is dark skin and in tas her skin is lighter but i would not called that lightskin.Heck she is not even medium tone skin here.
I think most blacks shown in animated western/painted media are shown as dark skin.
Oh and the shard in TAS is not shown as dark skin but more closer to medium tone.
Storm by the way looks even darker then pic above.

And storm is a dark skinned woman. I see her being the shade of Naomi Campbell or Danai Guierra, or Viola Davis. Her being shown accurately is important because for far too long the only time you see a woman of color is if she was mixed looking like Beyonce, Rihanna, or Halle.

There is different types views about Beyonce,Rihanna and halle in talk forums.
There are folks that would say Beyonce,Rihanna or halle don't look mixed or bi-racial looking to them.
Just saying.
Rihanna looks like her mother by the way,just lighter.She does not look like her father.
