Forge battled him 4 times, once in Vietnam when he killed his fellow entry men to stop him, again in Fall of mutants, again in x factor when haven gave birth to him, again in x force and uncanny x force. That's the canon you know nothing about because you didn't read those stories. Storm was ignored by him in the last story.

they are gods. the belief of the original Wakandans allowed the orishas to become gods.

Humans can become god like. But when you compare how the rest of Marvel treats gods, Coates' version wouldn't fit the bill.

I actually think that aspect is silly too. however in the case of storm I think a case from canon could be made bloodlines wise as to how she could be or is an actual goddess. I think for coates he is trying to canonized in a way that makes sense that she is one after all these years of being told she isn't.

bast is a goddess, yes? adversary a god yes? for bast at least he wrote it to her first being a human before ascending to god. by being human she could hsve been a super powered being akin to storm whereby faith allowed her ability to be fully realized.
