I thought the ending part was interesting.

the religion stuff didnt make sense to me though. the villagers in her solo admitted that they knew she was never a goddess but just a silly girl. also, ororo has been back to her village at least on three separate occasions. how would they start worshipping a god in her absence when she wasnt absent? it just made absolutely no sense to me.

!!! They (x office) honestly can’t explain her goddess aspect correctly in my opinion. They’ve always contradict themselves, in some way. I feel like they should’ve tapped into her mystical heritage and went on from there. That’s the most logical thing to do to me.

Also, how pedantic of Guggenheim, to name this village "Uzuri", and the new god "Uovu". Uzuri is 'good' and Uovu is 'evil' in Swahili. If you want to do some research into Swahili language and culture, try going deeper than the most superficial....

Just imagine if i's your first language and you have to read this crap smh! my first reaction is always screaming or throwing the book until i convince myself to continue reading. BP does this all the time and recently i'm seeing the same thing in Champions. Yep, superficial is all i'm getting from these writers.

Its actually pretty simple. She a Mutant Goddess...samething as Jean as Avatar of the Phoenix Force or Magik as a Demon Sorceress of Limbo. Hell, Selene/Black Queen was consider a goddess for many years.

I wouldn't have minded the mystical route but since coates was the one who started this story of ororo being a goddess guggs should have followed what he established and not worked at every juncture to subvert it. her being a goddess and explaining this is something I'm sure he will explain in a later story.

I was just going fo make this point that her being a goddess a simple, just as thor being a god is simple. and great point about Selene. why things become so complicated when it involves ororo but not other characters with similar powerset is a better question.

What's the difference between Storm the goddess and the powerful mutant she's always been? I guess what I meant by confusing is that I don't understand what some of you want her to be. I mean other than giving her a good writer, how does she change from how she's always been portrayed? I don't think the goddess stuff adds anything more interesting to her character than what's already there. Just like I don't think the Phoenix Force added anything interesting to Jean's character after the Phoenix saga. I feel that was partially part of the reason they killed her off years ago(and why she returned without it)... because it was getting harder to write her. I won't comment on Magik or Selene because I just never cared for them... no offense to all 8 of their fans lol.
