For those who didn't read flash war spoilers ahead:
Now with bart allen back and having two wally west's and barry and also Avery Ho and soon Jay Garrick.
Do you think DC has way too many speedsters?

Yes and no. I think they have too many speedster for what they are willing to publish.

No, Wally West could easy hold a book. All of those other characters don't show up every issue. DC has Batman, Batwoman, Nightwing,Red Hood, Robin x 3, Batgirl x3, Batwing, Signal and probably someone I am missing. Nothing is more redundant than bat characters and they easily have a couple books and nobody cares that they reductant in what they do punch, kicking and sneaking around.
Are too many Wally West? I would say that is true. Is Impulse and Wally West reductant? Maybe with both being young flash concepts but other than those small tweaks but other than I can't see big issue. I can see two Flash solo books(Barry and Wally) and one of the younger versions showing up in teen titans. With Wally he can get the Nightwing/Red Hood treatment where they are different concepts from the original .

No! The problem is DC refuses to use them with the exception of Barry (and no, I don’t hate Barry). The Flash book of the 90s and early 2000’s proved you could have multiple speedsters and still tell compelling stories.

In a way but not really. How many are actually active? Two, three when Wally figures his **** out. I doubt Jay will take up that much space in the larger mythos outside a supporting role. The only one I genuinely don't understand why they are trying to include is Impulse. Especially when Williamson already was setting up redemption for Godspeed and when we already have Kid Flash doing his own thing. I guess if they could make Avery Ho work with Wallace around then it's possible they could fit him in but he just feels pointlessly out of place. The role he plays is already filled, what is he suppose to do? I would hope Williamson is doing the smart thing and plans to use him for a specific story and then he'll **** off but after Flash War i'm convinced he's stopped caring about good storytelling and is going full 90s nostalgia porn. That aside, I agree that if they are divied up between the right amount of books they could make everyone (even Impulse) work.

THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.
currently following:
- DC: Red Hood: The Hill
- Marvel: TBD
- Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force
"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
We're actually a few short, as some got erased in the New 52 "reboot". Bart wasn't the only one to disappear seven years ago.
But yeah, the real problem isn't too many speedsters, it's too few books. Do what Marvel did with Spider-Man and Captain America and just have two Flash books, with the civilian names included in the titles (so Barry Allen: The Flash and Wally West: The Flash).
For what it's worth, Avery Ho is easy to write out. I doubt she'll appear again once Williamson leaves Flash behind. She was created in Flash before joining the Justice League of China, and while the New Super-Man book has been cancelled, the team is still supposed to be active, which would explain her absence.
Impulse is easy to send away too - he can go in a relaunched Legion of Superheroes or Young Justice.

I wish people would stop saying Jay is back / will be back "soon" until they can also give a date and issue number for WHEN he'll be back and a guarantee that:* it will be classic Jay and not New52's faux-Jay from Earth 2Otherwise, it's just BS that "he'll be back soon".
* they can guarantee that classic Jay won't be killed off within an appearance or three

Based on . . . what?
You can't base it just on complainers on message boards/forums like this one. What percentage of the actual comic book buying public do you think those people represent?
I'm not saying there might not be a market for what you're proposing, but don't just blindly say "the market is there" without some decent FACTS to back it up.
It's kind of funny to me whenever someone complains about too many Speedsters when there's still quite a few missing.
I mean, Wally's kids and Jay are obvious, but Jesse still isn't back. With Bart back, could the return of Max Mercury be in the cards as well?
Then the problem seems to be that DC still refuses to try to expand the Flash line, despite it being one of their strongest sellers.
Even when they cut down the Green Lantern line we still had two GL books...granted, now we're stuck with one again until Morrison's solo .
If Bart is in-character as Impulse moving forward then he will be very distinct from Wallace.
What and you've never talked a bit of hyperbole? Come on Major.
As for facts, I can only give you what information I've had on sales from my local comic guy, my comic-reading friends and the sales of the CONVERGENCE SPEED FORCE series. I'm talking about the facts as they have been presented to me. The same information we all have to work with
