    Ok, I’m confused. We see that Steel (not John Henry Irons, but the Hank Heywood version) is dead..... but doesn’t he currently not exist because the JSA is not in continuity right now?

    The JSA has been erased, yes, but several of their members managed to survive Dr. Manhattan's tinkering with history, such as Mr. Terrific.
