Just in case you still wanted to be sure.
That makes two Jean appearances on Rogue/Gambit focused covers where people kinda recognize her but are like "Is that really her?...", in only two days lol.

Not that want to judge before I read but the preview of Uncanny is far from what expected.

And honestly the age of apocalypse again?

Like, I know we were bitching about the faux o5/Claremont nostalgia, but like, doing mid 90's nostalgia was not the correct answer!

Official tally of only things X-fans care about according to the X-Office:

Nostalgia from the first 3.5 decades of publication (this includes costumes and lineups)
    Romantic relationships
    Alternate realities and characters

Sad to see no Astonishing...hopefully it's just a skip month and not the end. It's the first X-book I've enjoyed in years...actually fun, versus the same broken record of "wah wah misery angst" that's been going on for decades.

    Things X-Fans actually care about:

Compelling character development for their favorites
    Exciting power displays
    Teamwork and familial relationships
Interesting use of the mutant metaphor relevant to current events

Boom Boom appears on less of those X-Force covers than Deathlok. Even when she makes up half of the female representation in a title, Tabby still can't get some limelight.

I sincerely hope Kitty's hair is back. I've no idea why Marvel thinks a woman can only be taken seriously as a leader when she cuts her hair. Kitty did it when she took over leadership and when she joined SHIELD. Crystal did it when she led the global Inhumans emissaries. Carol did it when she changed from Ms Marvel to Captain Marvel. Only Carol ultimately suited the look.

Don't say that. I'm re-reading Scott Lobdell's X-Men run at the moment and it BREAKS MY HEART to read so explicitly here what I really want from X-Men comics, still got during this run, and I will not get anymore. Gosh, when did the genre became so dull?!?!?!

Yeah Uncanny X-Men looks terrible. I mean, we're use to it after so many years but hope is still there.

For me the thing that's so jarring about the Uncanny solicits is that they seem completely unrelated to the previous three issues. Hopefully it all ties together because right now it just looks like they're throwing whatever random thing they can think of in the book.

Wow there's a lot of misery here.

These solicits have me HYPED. I'll be buying TOO MANY books but I'm very excited.

    All of this looks abysmal.

No more 90s revival please! Take the franchise in new places!

If Astonishing is ending, that would make Rosenberg the only co-writer of Uncanny who isn't writing another ongoing X-book. The logical conclusion is that he'll either get a new ongoing team book or a fresh slew of minis to play with.

    Still hoping for that X-Factor.

I feel like the only hope at this point is that this AOA nonsense is completely contained to this first 10 issue weekly blitz, and issue 11 will start a real story, but why waste so many pages in this ridiculousness?

I'm looking forward to it, too. I wouldn't say I'm hyped, but I'm intrigued. I don't really understand why people are so disappointed given there's so little information. Burned too many times before?
