Attitudes towards the practice in Europe and the US has changed, what do guys feel about this?

Nope. Unless there's actual medical need, which is unusual but can happen, I don't think it's right to cut a piece of a child's body.

By the way, I'm not circumcised and the part that would be cut in a circumcision is the most sensitive part of the penis when it comes to sexual pleasure. Why would someone cut that part of their son's body?

I'm thinking your source is biased on the issue.

My wife believes that circumcision results in lower rates of disease transmission to women.

I'm circumcized, and raised Protestant Christian. If people didn't freak about it, I'd have no idea it was a controversy.

There is some science that supports circumcision leading to lower transmission rates of STDs.

However, there is still a debate if this risk is significant enough to warrant circumcision.

I’m not but I remember dad was and when I was growing up I wished I was.

I have a boyfriend now and he loves what I have so the need to be circumsized as an adult is not as big a priority. I still might one day but there’s probably better things to do with my money. Unless I converted to a different religion

For it. Too many generations of family with it to see the reason to be against it. But it doesn't matter for me because I won't be having a son.

I wonder who the first person was to perform a circumcision. that was one messed up individual.

I'm sure it must be a cutting edge topic.

I'm very sure there was a really good logical reason for it once, like refraining from eating pigs.

That kind of stuff is pretty common in primitive societies. Scarification, tattoos, all that kind of things. With teeth even, some groups in Africa if i remember correctly are still doing it.

    Here an example :

I don't really see any special reason for circumcision back then or then it would have been a way more common practice around the globe. (why would it be more necessary in say Judea than in Egypt, Gaul or China?)

I think it was just a cultural thing.
