Default The SciFi/Fantasy World In Which I'd Choose To Live Is...

Middle Earth? Star Trek's Federation? Harry Dresden's Chicago? The DCU? Neo's Matrix? Astro City? Star Wars' Courosant? The MCU? The Two Rivers?

If you had one to choose one, in which Fantasy/SciFi world would you live?

Bill and Ted's future world. It is a Utopia.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Star Trek yeah, somewhere between Kirk and Picard time in the federation.

That or Pern, from Anne McCaffrey's books. (when they start to rediscover some lost technologies, exciting times)

    Iain M. Banks' Culture.

It's what Star Trek's Federation wants to be when it grows up and develops proper technology.

This one is easy. I choose to live in the world of Doctor Who, as a companion that travels with him in the Tardis to all the incredible worlds in all of space and time.

Sign me up for Star Trek as well, but put me on a Federation Starship! I'd love to go explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilisations. And I also like how kumbaya-my-lord everyone seems to be when compared to real life, so that's also a big plus.

    Star Trek, also.
On Kirk or Picard's ship, where it was generally safest.
And with enough foresight to know not work in Security.

Am I still just me or do I get to be a dragon or something instead?

Middle Earth during the First Age sounds good to me if I can be a Numenorean.

Wise choice. Very little crime, excellent employment rate; a just and peaceful Utopian society.

I'd live in the world of Berserk. It only SEEMS like an utter hellhole, but if you know the right people and make the right deals, you could live pretty large. I believe...I would like to turn into a scorpion thing. Yes, that would be nifty.

Like the Mirror Universe, sort of. With a touch of Barbarella.
