Default The Terrible Trio (Fox, Shark, and Vulture) Appreciation Thread

First appearance = Detective Comics #253 (March 1958)

Three brilliant guys wearing business suits and animal heads, the Terrible Trio appeared twice in the late 1950s/early 1960s. (Their other time in the spotlight was in Detective Comics #321 a little over five years later.) But they would eventually find their way back before the end of the century . . .

By the way, Batwoman (Kathy Kane) was also in this story, using her terribly female devices that would be more than just laughed at if a writer tried to use them in more modern stories:

You know, if they ever wanted to return Black Mask to his original MO, these guys would be PERFECT for an incarnation of the False Face Society.

For the record, Fox, Shark, and Vulture weren't the first to be referred to as the "Terrible Trio".

    From Superman #88 (March 1954):

    and still later, Aquaman #24 (November-December 1965):

And instead of showing up on a milk carton when they hadn't been seen in a while, they showed up in a notice in a comic book:

    (from Batman Family #11, cover-dated May-June 1977)

Anybody else like the Beligerent blue-bloods take on the characters from BTAS?
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

I find it interesting that the Terrible Trio were on 3 different BATMAN cartoon shows and were vastly different each appearance.

B:TAS. Veyr inspired by their comic book appearances.

The Batman. 3 college students take a variation of the Man-Bat formula to transform into hybreds humans/creatures.

B:TB&TB. The Trio are marshal arts experts.
