    Oh no.

    Brace yourselves.

    Onslaught is coming back!

We're gonna have yet another disease plot.

And it's going to be Youngblood's Disease!

With the way X is acting this very well can be true.

I find it interesting that he says Marvel turned the volume down on the X-Men "almost 20 years," implying that this has been going on since the early '00s. Which I'm not quite sure I buy (it wasn't until the Inhumans push era that top talent and promotion was visibly being steered away from the X-line), but it certainly lends fuel to those who argue that Quesada always wanted to de-emphasize the X-Men.

As for Liefeld, I'm sure he has a fan following but have his various returns to Marvel, ever since the late '90s, really been breakout hits? Bringing back once-famous creators, be they greats like Claremont or more controversial figures like Liefeld, always seems like a stopgap solution at best.

Liefeld doesn't seem to understand economics. Every time there is a period of great expansion and success, there must also follow a period of contraction. How much contraction tends of vary. The X-Men not only dominated the 90s in the comics, but had an amazing cartoon with a film in production at the end of the decade.

Oh God, please keep Franklin Richards as far away from this event as possible.

Come to think of it, Franklin's yesterday's news in terms of pulling retcons.

Keep Kobik as far away from this as possible! She already caused one bad retcon!

Huh. A giant Liefeld event is not something I thought anyone wanted in 2018. I am filled with dread. And also some doubt that he will make it through to 2019 without fighting with Marvel.

Could be interesting. I’m here for it. Especially if it involves OG Cable.

We are truly blessed. Liefeld will save the X-Men from lackluster writing through the sheer power of pouches, big ass guns and no feet.
Bring it, I'm ready. Let the fun times begin.

I just made my best friend's cat jump three feet in the air from laughing at this.

Also, awful nice of Marvel to be so considerate of my wallet by potentially putting stuff out that I have no intention of ever wasting my money on. Bravo!

Liefeld is back on the x-books and Tiger Woods just won the PGA Tour Championship game. Did someone alter the timeline?

Franklin Richards pulled us into the Heroes Reborn universe.

Wanda Maximoff went crazy and screwed up time and space again.

    Kobik did anything.

    You make the call.

I'll believe it when Marvel announces it. I can see them giving him an out of continuity limited series or OGN, but not leading a crossover event. Or maybe he pitched them something and it was mostly crap but it lead to a better but similar idea so they were obligated to credit him.

The only reason he's getting any type of recognition is because of the success of the Deadpool movies and how well received Cable and Domino were. He's should be praising Ryan Reynolds and Tim Miller for all of this.

I'm already dreading the over abundance of weaponry, shoulder pads and the unnecessary changes to any character he created, reverting them back to the 90s as he left them.
