I thought these last few issues have done a good job of tightening it back up.

I think the art has been serviceable, although this story is overtly in need of Kirby style. It's a hard one though; obviously the series kicked off with Stjepan Sejic's slick design work and they want to maintain some bare/base level of consistency with what he established. But the concepts, while bombastic, aren't that deep so I feel like it would be better with bombastic art at this point. I'll say it's probably more the muted coloring bothering me than Richards' pencils. We've got Starfire, Blackfire, a Green Lantern and a Red Lantern on page with Orion of the New Gods and a Silver Age Fox Justice League villain like the Lord of Time. This should be a kaleidoscope.

IMHO, with comics, were the status quo always snaps back and change is always an illusion, you kinda have to accept that the journey is what makes it worthwhile, not the destination. Still:

I'm kinda sick of DC continuity reboots. Even if I just get stuff from specific characters and am not too fussy about how they stories interact with other ones, it does make it hard to stay invested knowing that in a few years, it won't really matter or the characters will just drop off the face of the earth or something. The curse of liking B and C-list characters the most.
