THE CBR COMMUNITY STANDARDS & RULES ~ So... what's your excuse now?
Shalla "Walla" Bal for me. A better Sub-Mariner cover than mine! In the words of Cobra Commander - Curses!
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
Voting for foxley this week.
The Cover Contest Weekly Winners ThreadSo much winning!!

"It is wrong to assume that art needs the spectator in order to be. The film runs on without any eyes. The spectator cannot exist without it. It ensures his existence." -- James Douglas Morrison
foxley for a wonderfully atmospheric and detailed cover signed "7EV".
For those not familiar, "7EV" = "Sev & Ev" = Marie Severin inked by Bill Everett.

Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!
Thank you for doing the tally WPP and thank you for the votes foxley, Tami, worstblogever, Iron Maiden, Blastaar and Scott Taylor (love that Subby cover, it's one of my favorites). That was a really great selection of covers from one of comics' most versatile and accomplished artists. Marie Severin will be missed.
I have a crazy day ahead of me so I won't be able to set up the contest until later on today...sorry to make you wait. But thanks again!

Congrats to Shalla Bal, and thank you WPP for doing the accounting.
Also thank you everyone here for participating in this tribute to a great lady of comics.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Congratulations to Shalla Bal for a marvelous cover which had mood, detail and content. It was truly the awesomest cover this week without Barnabas Collins.
As to what the captain has learned thius week, he has discovered that Marie Severin was a truly underrated part of the Marvel Bullpen. The more we examine her bibliography,m the more we learn about her and how she truly was a utility player. These weeks almost always start off for me with a "yeah, sure, what was there?" and as the days pass, I see more and more and learn more and more and appreciate each additional cover or other bit of data someone posts. This was a truly great contest, Kirby101. And i would have said that even if I hadn't come in tied for second.
And yes, thanks go out to The Darknight Detective, seismic-2, and SuperCooper for their votes this week. I appreciate them.
Congrats, Shal!
I got swamped by work and didn't vote but Enigmatic Undead would have gotten it.
