Retired a few years ago JMS said this guy blocked anything B5 for decades. It's why even getting the smallest projects a greenlight was like pulling teeth.

Better yet, widely publicized as a seller example of extreme incompetence, and allowing personal distaste to cut into profits. Let him go to his grave knowing he will be the poster boy for bad decisions long after his death.

There's an animated film released a couple months ago that soft rebooted the timeline & universe - Babylon 5: The Road Home. I think this was to lead to the re-boot series on the WB. It was passed over this year but may be green lit for next year.
    Sounds perfect.

The Star Wars franchise is a mess and in a vulnerable position. Zaslav is the type who is going to want to compete and go down fighting even if it means going down in flames.

Then I hope the merger fails because I don't want Star Trek dumbed down to appeal to the masses. It's already IMO been dumbed down enough anymore and it's not Trek just people on starships shooting in space.

    Episode 5 - Mirrors

Seems at first blush to assume it might be a trip into the Mirror Universe. Red herring of a title or indeed a visit there? We've not had one during this stretch of new Trek streaming shows, we are overdue and I'm game.

We definitely had a few Mirrorverse episodes in Season 1 of Discovery.

That is why we discuss. I totally did blank on that. The Lorca and Georgiou characters were from Mirror U.
So, lets see where we are since Discovery is now so far from that S1 starting point in the 23rd century.

Maybe Mirrors will finally solve what happened to Prime Lorca. Or deal with the future Mirror Universe, despite the Cronenberg character saying it had 'drifted' away from the main one. Maybe he tries to get home somehow but winds up miscalculating by fixing onto Georgiu's last known coordinates or something and winds up in the future too. Or maybe just some Guardian of Forever stuff.

A SNW one would be interesting as a prequel to "Mirror, Mirror". Perhaps do what Enterprise did and not have it be a dimensional cross over, showing perhaps Mirror Kirk killing Mirror Pike. Paul Wesley has already done two alternate Kirks in SNW so far in addition to the "real" one so I'm sure he'd be game for mirror Kirk.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's what it appears to be and will harken back to Disco's early connections to the MU.

It's 2024 so you all remember to stay save this year during the Bell Riots.

Wonder if we'll see some mirror takes on 30th century characters-Vance, Book, Adira, Gray etc.

Mirror Laira also could be interesting given her Cardassian and Bajoran background.

I'd like to see a Star Trek animated series with Castlevania style animation. Any era. TOS, TNG, Kelvin, etc.
