    Interesting they use the TNG movie/later DS9 era look. Some of the best Trek games came out during that time.

    Is it true that due to some legal loophole Strange New World's Enterprise can never look like the original series? It has to look something like 30% different?

    That has been claimed since the JJ reboot, I think. We may never know for sure but I just take redesigns simply as modern updates.

    Eh, it's solidly a rumor. CBS said this out right:
    CBS TV Studios does, in fact, have the right to use the U.S.S. Enterprise ship design from the past TV series, and are not legally required to make changes. The changes in the ship design were creative ones, made to utilize 2018’s VFX technology.
