Yeah, most of them are decent enough expect maybe the 5th and of course those things made by Abrams and labeled as star trek for some obscure reasons.

You guys need to go back and watch Final Frontier again. The opening scenes are some of the best of all the movies. I always get a good laugh at the jail break scene and when they evade the Klingons in the shuttle is a great action sequence.

I'll give Final Frontier credit for having perhaps the greatest example of camaradarie among the Big 3 in any Trek movie, and I hope it's something that'll be shown in the next movie.

Star Trek 5 biggest flaw is the premise. Just changing it so that Spock's brother is acting as a mediator between the feds and the romulans and he went colonel kurtz could solve a ton of the issues with the script.

The opening scene is fun, until you see how badly the rest of the cast was sidelined.

Honestly, the named cast should have had some resistance considering all the stuff they've been through as a team.

It's the same problem I have with most of the next gen movies.

Picard became angry action man, Data became a Mary Sue and the rest of the cast was horribly sidelined.

Picard as angry action man is tons better than contemplating talky man

that sitting around a table for 10 minutes and talking out a problem may get the hardcore Trekkies erect but its not going to fly in a movie

you want talky talky...go watch DS9 reruns

    it's not just that

Insurrection makes way more sense if you switch Picard's and Riker's role.

Picard should have been on the ship barking orders. He has maneuvers named after him for goodness sake.

Riker should have been the one in a physical confrontation with the big bad.

Instead of a random female space hippy, the love relationship should have been between Riker and Troi with all of their baggage and finally committing.

So that way when Troi is near death, half the audience is "on no"ing and half the audience is cheering. .

this also gives a more solid foundation for Nemesis.

He's a bit of a Gary Stu, but I still like him best.
Plus he intimidated Worf (according to Jadzia)!

You can't perform the Picard maneuver without an uniform!
