So Claremont is back, which is cool, but the art looks a bit boring. Hopefully the story picks up!

That is amazing. Chris is bringing it strong in that one. I’m loving that little girl. Sadly, I’m afraid something is gonna happen to her. The art is interesting to say the least!
Incredibly topical at the end, there.
Such a shame Marvel wants to hamfist Mags back into the villain role.
Not digging the art, but I'll live. The dialogue falls flat at some points, but nothing really bad. At least Claremont is filling the pages with some adequate amount of text. His wordy approach will work for a self-contained issue, I think.
I appreciate the references to Kitty and Magda and this was an exceptionally written poignantly eloquent exchange between Erik and this Kate character. IMO Magneto hasn't sounded as emotionally transparent as he's being depicted here since Mike Carey. Excited for this issue.
I'm all for "setting the scene" but...Those first four pages were boring-AF!

Lord Claremont, show them how it is done! That last part could have easily have been about ICE and the children detention camps. I can't believe they saddled him with this horrible art team, though. Show some respect!
Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!
A reference to immigrant children separated of the family and detained in the US.
A comic centered on Magneto rarely disappoints.
I do not think trying to portray the character as a villain works these days so believe that marvel despite promoting him back to his old habits he will continue to be more like a character who acts in the gray zone.
