This. Until I see some documentation, or a magazine like Variety, Forbes or EW saying that Donner owns x-related rights, I'll believe everything is owned by Fox.

Deadpool will probably go forward with at least a Deadpool 3/X-Force film which will be separate than the MCU but might make some 3rd wall brake about Disney merger.
A Deadpool movie where he's suddenly (maybe randomly) thrust in the MCU would practically write itself, with or without X-Force.

Deadpool is the one character they keep, imho.

No, Donner and Kingberg has all the rights to produce the XMen characters

I agree, Feige should keep his hands off the XMen.

Look, they can't both have the rights.

And really, just how did they go about acquiring those rights without Marvel of Fox noticing? Surely Marvel still knows who they licensed what to?

No they don't LSD secured the rights for Fox in the 90's.

Plus there is no way Fox could just sell the rights to someone else without Marvel getting the first crack at them, and if that had been the case Marvel would have bought them back years ago. Donner and Kinberg don't own anything. They might have had a deal with fox to produce the Fox X-Men films but they don't own the rights.

This all happen in the early 90’s with Marvel Entertainment blessings.
This was before Marvel Studios existed

No it happened around the mid 90's after the Columbia deal fell through and LSD helped secure the rights for Fox she did not get the rights herself.

I don’t see why you guys think this is a problem. It’s business, I’m sure they will work something out that satisfy all sides.

Because it's spreading something untrue the rights are held by Fox.

The X-Men movies have already erased the original trilogy and recast the entire team. I don't see the current cast doing many more movies. This is a perfect time to reboot them into the MCU.

Producers are not rights holders. Never have been.

People here claiming that the X-Men movies have been decent completely forget that Apocalypse, Wolverine Origins and Wolverine Immortal ever happened. X3 is up for discussion.

From the little that I could find that actually involved LSD and the X-Men rights, this is the only thing that makes sense and the only way she could be involved with the X-Men rights. She helped Fox secure the rights, and some people interpreted it wrongly and thought that she acquired the rights herself, which is absurd.
