Kurt's fans are quiet but legion. It probably also helps that unlike other heroes, Nightcrawler's character hasn't been dragged through the mud with some OOC writing. (At his worst he is usually just wallpaper. ie: X-Men Gold.)

I would have casted my vote for Emma but I absolutely abhor Twitter. Still nice to see her make the top ten regardless.

I knew Cyclops would top due to current circumstances but Nightcrawler coming 2nd and passing Wolverine is honestly a surprise.

Yeah, the Spider-Man and the X-Men mini that ran between Death of Wolverine and Secret Wars. Peter was never actually an X-Man, he was just a teacher at the Jean Grey school.

Agreed. Nothing flawed. Just how this poll was done. And it really only speaks on twitter. As noted here, not everyone uses twitter, so they didn't know about this poll to vote.

Had it been advertised on some other sites like tumblr or facebook, we may have seen very different results.

I am glad Nightcrawler did so well. He has always been one of my favorites. Naturally, I voted in the poll for Jean Grey/Phoenix since we were told to just vote for one. If I could have voted for more I would have also voted for Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Storm. I am glad Emma did well. I would have liked to see more votes for Bishop.
