I'm still confused on how Kent Nelson is alive. I thought he died (though that was pre-Flashpoint). When did he come back to life? I looked, but I can't an answer. Did Dr. Manhattan brought Kent back off-panel? I know I missed something, but I don't know what.

Seriously there is no answer available. Probably Doctor Manhattan's tampering of the timeline... although I always thought that the DCYou stuff was out of continuity as well.

So far opinion seems to show a tie between

* Kent Nelson frees himself from Nabu and once again becomes Doctor Fate
and
* Khalid Nassour becomes Doctor Fate and Kent becomes the New Nabu

as the most voted for options with 6 votes for each;

* Nabu is being corrupted by the Tree of Wonder

comes in next with 5 votes so far.

Speculation... with Dr Fate being shaken to the core with what is happening on Earth with magic, I wonder if Nabu is planning something (e.g. tricking the Otherkind) and is in full control of Kent Nelson to protect him, including putting Khalid in the jar to protect him as well?

I read the entire Khalid Fate run and I'm still not invested in the character. meh.
