Default What would be your top 20 NON-Superhero comics

Since Action #1 Superheros seem to have dominated this field in Comics. But it is not just superheros and it really never has been like that. Comics, of course have had much humor, and romance, but a great deal of the books are hard to classify. Nemo in Sluberland is a pure fantasy... or is it?

Give it some thought. What are you favorite 20 non-superhero runs?

None of which precludes superhero. I would definitely consider every version of the character to be a superhero.

I thought about it, but I would say no. If anything, they entire book is a humor book that runs roughshot over a fantasy storyline... not much different than Cerbus. American Flagg feels more like a Superhero book... but it isn't.

I am very fond of Marvel Westerns and Pre Hero Horror, after that it would be easy reading "funny" books that I grew up with in the early 60's that just bring joy/smiles/relaxation without being reminded of real life drama/violence.
    *(Titles I currently collect)

    *1)Kid Colt Outlaw
    *2)Two Gun Kid
    *3)Rawhide Kid
    *4)Journey Into Mystery
    *5)Strange Tales
    *6)Tales Of Suspense
    *7)Tales To Astonish
    *8)Sad Sack Comics (ALL Titles)
    *9)Adventures Of The Big Boy
    *10)Beany And Cecil
    *11)Tom Terrific
    13)Archie Comics
14)Other Harvey Titles (Casper, Spooky, Hot Stuff, Richie Rich, Little Dot, Little Lotta, Wendy etc)
    15)Hanna Barbera/Gold Key Comics/Charlton/Dell Comics
(Mighty Mouse, Flintstones, Jetsons, Top Cat, Deputy Dawg, Underdog, Rocky And Bullwinkle, Beetle Bailey, Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Looney Tunes etc, etc, etc)
    16-20) What else is there???

Being Swedish, I'm not sure I agree with the assertion that superhero comics dominate the industry. It might be true in the USA, but certainly not in Europe. So here goes, in alphabetical order:

    • 91:an Karlsson
    • Adèle Blanc-Sec
    • Allan Kämpe
    • Arne Anka
    • Asterix
    • Bamse (kids comic, hugely popular in the Nordic countries)
    • Buddy Longway
    • Ensamma mamman ("The Single Mom")
    • Girl Genius
    • Kapten Stofil (superhero comics, but for very weird values of superheroes)
    • Lone Wolf and Cub
    • Lucky Luke
    • Luther Arkwright, and especially the followup Heart of Empire
    • Modesty Blaise
    • Les Passagers du vent (no English edition)
    • The Phantom (okay, a proto-superhero)
    • Ratte
    • Tintin
    • Valérian and Laureline
    • Ville
