As the title suggests, I'm interested in knowing what some of your favorite "badass" moments in comics are. Things that made you punch the air with excitement etc. you name it.
Some of mine:
- Dr Doom going up against The Beyonder in the original Secret Wars.
- Captain America not shying away from being the last man standing against Thanos.
- Cyclops blasting the Sentinel in Whedons Astonishing X-Men.
- ANOTHER Astonishing X-Men scene...Cyclops revealing he hadn't lost his powers. Incredible!
- Almost anything Hickman has Dr Doom do, from getting ready to face the mad celestials to taking on all the Beyonders...my favorite being his line from the start of time runs out: "Now those who believe they can manufacture Doom will face Doom himself.
- Drax staying behind to take on the the Annihilation Wave single handedly in Annihilation.
- Old Man Logan re-popping his claws.
- Thor taking on the god-bomb with two hammers in his fight against Gorr.

Wolverine vs Shark= EPIC!!!!!. (from the "Save the Tyger" storyline in Marvel Comics Presents).
The verbal, moral and physical beatdown that Peter gave to Norman Osborn at the end of the Clone Saga.

In recent years, probably my favorite was Deadpool willingly using his bicep as a silencer for his pistol. And explaining that it acts as a perfectly good silencer while being completely serious and horrifying.

The "badass" moment I always remember getting me out of my seat was Rogue during the Supernovas arc of Adjectiveless X-Men. When she absorbs Emma's diamond form as well as Cyke's optic blasts to scatter the beam in a dozen directions. That was pretty dope.
It's not usually those kinds of moments that get me out of my seat, usually it's more plot focused for me. Like a plot element being set off in a completely unexpected way, not necessarily an individual character action.

The first time that I saw the cover for Ultimates #1 (2015) with Blue Marvel and the others assembled in the hand of Galactus, I punched the air. I was geeking out beyond belief.

I guess Daredevil never knew that one of Namor's many powers was the ability to absorb electrical/bio-electric energy. Fortunately, most writers tend to downplay that power, as well as a few others. Originally Posted by CaptCleghorn
