Selene Gallio, the Black Queen Appreciation Thread

Selene should be on the level of Apocalypse or the Shadow King, as an immortal mutant villain.

She has always been under utilized and downplayed. I wasn't the biggest fan of Necrosha but I liked that they made her a massive threat in that event.

I hope when we see her again they will give her more to do and say, and expand on her vast history. I also want to see use her shadow powers.

I think the whole point of Necrosha was to show Selene as a massive threat. Rumor has it she is one of the 4 horsemen of Apocalypse as Singer wanted to have a team of immortal/ancient mutants (with the exception of Archangel).

i found her very underrated, she could be a top villian, kind of apocalypse, but she is a women and many male villians are what writters use on x men comics the most of the time, exceptions on mystique, or others

I was always hoping for Marvel to see Selene´s potential. She is one of the scariest villains and I think she has been discriminated out of sexism... she should be one of the X Men´s great foes! Necrosha was not enough at all...

One of the most underrated characters from the X-universe. Easily,imo, the best member of the Hellfire Club ever! I've always been fascinated by her: the combo of immortal mutant witch is great.

...A pity she's featured in a book I don't read (was never, ever into Captain America) and written by Coates (a "writer" I will never read ever again). Though I have to say, going by the CBR article, Selene decimating Hydra is Top-Level Badassery.

I think the number shows Selene as an A Grade villain.. scary.. and the position she deserves. I hope that means we start to see more of her not just in the X Men. She deserves a place of honour in the MU overall.
