I recently became a fan of Jack Daniel's.
Meanwhile, Scotch is disgusting. A friend of mine bought me a bottle LaPhroaigh? Or something like that! He described it as having a "smokey" flavor. It was the grossest thing I've ever tasted! Then a friend of mine gave me some scotch she brought back from Scotland. It wasn't nearly as bad but had that same "smokey" flavor. So is that what all Scotch tastes like? I remember a scene from Skyfall that establishes Macallan Scotch as a favorite of James Bond, which the first friend referenced says is pretty good.
Meanwhile, I bought Jim Beam, which isn't nearly as good as Jack Daniel's. So is that what most Bourbon tastes like?
Also, there's Scotch and Bourban, but does Jack Daniel's fall under any sub-genres of whiskey, or is it just....whiskey?
