Yeah, Gunn's Gamora is kind of the Most Ineffectual Woman in the Galaxy instead of the Most Dangerous .

I think Drax makes it out of Avengers 4 just fine, but that Guardians 3 is deader than Gambit because Disney realises the sheer amount of horrific PR that will surround the movie from the moment they announce a director just isn't worth it.

Because writers can only do one thing. You can tell by all the teutonic killer robots in Titanic.

Either way Disney loses. It sets the precedent that if an actor wants out of a contract all they have to do is bad mouth the studio in public. And if they keep him he will just keep bad mouthing the studio in public.

They made a huge first step by firing Zack Snyder so we are no longer stuck with his dystopian take on the comic books characters.

Obviously Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Probably Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc, Amanda Waller, Rick Flag, and Katana will be back. There are rumors either Killer Frost or Poison Ivy may be in it.
Maybe Bane. Most likely Enchantress and El Diablo are gone. So the same basic group with a couple replacements.

I just want a smaller story. The Squad should not be fighting gods and saving the world. They should be doing black ops dirty work trying to keep a low profile. The two animated movies both worked so much better than the live action movie. I loved the train scene of the 2nd animated movie and want to see more stuff like that.

I hear a lot of that in MCU Drax, personally.
Yeah, people forget that Drax's creator Jim Starlin had turned Drax into comedy relief years ago.

When Will Smith is in the movie, you pretty much have to save the world. Him saying they have to save the world is probably in his contract.

The Squad was involved with global events all the time when Ostrander wrote the book. They also went to Apokolips, met Darkseid, and then there was the time they tried to liberate a kind of magical fairytale kingdom.

I sometimes wish we had THAT Drax (dumb and powerful) instead of the comedy relief version wrapped in the weaker, reborn shell. Makes me wonder how they'll handle Drax getting reborn. Smart and strong ... so green Superman?
