Who's going to be in the new Guardians of the Galaxy?

Yeah, turns out only six of the characters are going to be on the team. Marvel's article on it also confirms CGR is one.

If it were up to me, the line-up chosen from the eleven characters depicted should be:

Star-Lord
Darkhawk
Martyr
Cosmic Ghost Rider
Moondragon
Nova

I feel like Groot might win out over Nova or Darkhawk, which would bother me because they could do with some exposure and I'd rather see a bigger shake-up instead of two of the previous Guardians sticking around.

I really love Adam Warlock but he's way too powerful to stick on a team. I mean, this group is gonna be mighty regardless, but that's overkill. Same goes for Silver Surfer, Gladiator & Beta Ray Bill. I'm sure each of them will be involved with the book in some capacity though. In regards to BRB, maybe a War of the Realms tie-in??

Isn't Cosmic Ghost Rider an AU Punisher? How's he around? His aesthetic is pretty fun, too bad he can't just be an all new character. Making him Frank Castle is silly.

Is Silver Surfer in this? Doesn't seem like his kinda jam.

I'd honestly prefer a book with all 11, so i'm really bummed that they're cutting it down to six. My preferred roster would be:

Darkhawk
Nova
Beta Ray Bill
Starlord
Gladiator
Warlock

But I know there's no chance in hell of that happening. Were I to guess, this will be the lineup:

Moondragon
Phyla

As long as Darkhawk is in it i'll be buying it though. It's a damn shame they aren't going to use Wendell/Quasar.

There are so many characters from Hickman Universe who are so much OP or powerful than this 11 characters but people still tend to forget Hickman's era of either cosmic or terrestrial.
I will hold my gear of Cates's GOG for now c'ause i will always expect more from Marvel after Hickman .

I think we do, but it seems doubtful that he would be a full time member when he's also Galactus's current Herald. And if CGR is on the team, I doubt he would want to pull Norrin away from what he also considers to be an important job.

I am indifferent to Groot and Starhawk. I hate the vey idea of CGR (unless he's played for laughs).

And these are the 3 that I am sure are staying. So them paring the team down to 6 members is really
bad news for me.

No matter how this shakes out I'm gonna be annoyed with half the roster. All I can hope for
is that either Nova and Darkhawk or Moondragon and Phyla-Vell end up on the team.

I'd be kind of surprised if Star-Lord is on the final team.

I'd also be kind of surprised if Moondragon and Phyla end up on the same team with each other, even if I'd prefer it otherwise.
