I view it as both that Dazzler is giving it as good as she's getting it and kind of a you only tease the ones you love kind of thing, not saying that she is in love with those that she makes jokes about of vice versa just that it's their way of showing concern for each other and such...or not...

Matthew Rosenberg is a very good writer writing good dialogues.

    Hope he stays around.

The return of Phoenix arc, return of Xavier arc were all long-winded and mediocre.

So that means in other words, the chances of him asking: hey what happened to my daughter? are pretty nonexistent ... I would be absolutely shocked IF this may come into play once UXM takes over. I had high hopes after the name dropping and all but also very sceptic if the writers would find some panels for a reunion while trying to turn the X ship around ...

    The issue was ok.

Finally realized Rosenberg has made Havok sound like Sterling Archer and his sense of humor.

Agreed, felt like the weakest so far, and faint of filler. Finally got my attention more, towards the end, when spoilers:
    the Sentinels
end of spoilers showed up. Not bad, just not as good as it has been.

I can see that. And while I LOVE Archer & its brand of humor, not sure that's the right fit/way to go, with AleXander Summers. At least not so much of it/that alone, all the time, as it's sarcasm on overkill. Rosenberg needs to dial that down some in the future, across the board. As I've noticed it elsewhere, and he runs the risk of becoming one-note with it.

Well thats one fastball special that I dont think anyone saw coming. Colossus should get a mini where he just drunkenly tries to toss everyone he sees. Eventually Logan shows up, they share a bro moment, and Pete hurls him into the sunset.fin.

I'm not that familiar enough with them to say, TBH, sorry. They did acquire a spoilers:
    pretty serious upgrade
end of spoilers tho, courtesy of Havok, that I can say.

The first issue was good. But everything else was a mess... Between this, Phoenix resurrection, New mutants and Multiple Man, I can't say I want Rosenberg to stick around for much longer.

I feel jobbed. This series is ending without any official notice, even after all that official hype about this new team? i'd love an x-series to stick around for more than 12-something issues.

Issue 17 is the last issue. Only 5 issues of the new Astonishing team?

There are just too many miniseries and short-term teams. This issue is just mediocre, its art is fantastic though.

X-Men Red and Astonishing X-Men's endings are leading into Uncanny X-Men.

I don't think I like Rosenberg's voice for the X-Men. I think he'd do well on street level titles (wish Defenders was still a good blanket term for those). The X-Frat flavor is my least favorite for these types of books but he's well-suited to Clint Barton/Iron Fist/Human Torch type of characters.
