Well, in any of those scenarios, the second person who tries to rape Female Ranma is going to be fed the remains of the first person who tried to rape Female Ranma.

He's a major player obviously but he's not going to be able to do much with solving the actual final conflict of Souhaku and his constant reincarnation.
I could see him taking Masataka's place and being the "if I go too deep kill me," contingency for Demon Exorcise Nagi.
Things go basically the same I guess?
