I was poisoned by my first exposure,
(I'm counting all the couples as one)
Particularly Challenge era and this season, which left an indelible version of the League in my mind which will always include Apache, Vulcan, Samurai and Dorado.

This is an impossible task.
A terrible writer can make even a "perfect" JLA line-up suck, while a good writer can make even the lamest-appearing line-up one of the best reads around.
There may be heroes you think should always be connected somehow to the League, but just their presence wouldn't make it "perfect" if the writer can't give us decent stories.

I just spit the most important names that came to mind and realize I left out Aquaman. I don't want to sacrifice Hawkgirl or Hawkman for Aquaman because both are a team but I might have to. I also love Hal and John together and insist on Vixen. If only it were 13 members!

Yeah, I didn't realize how only 12 would be so difficult for everyone (myself included). Even the classic Satellite Era had 15 members.

Me neither, I thought it would be plenty, but at the end there are a couple of what feel like must-haves that can't be included, not to mention others who belong I'd like to feature but simply didn't make the cut.
