Default Who is for an Jean Grey/Havok relationship ?

With Jean Grey at the forefront of the X-Men red title and Alex Summers playing a lead role in the Astonishing X-Men title it got me wondering how complex and relationship between these two would be.
How have these two related to each other in the past ?.
I am a Marvel fan preferably cosmic storylines, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, when both the Avengers and the X-Men are involved count me in, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.
Not a fan of any of the new characters.

If it's romantic i don't think it would be good for anybody involved directly or indirectly.

    otherwise, sure, whatever.

I just think that their dynamics would be great whether that would lead to anything romantic who knows ?.

Not a good idea in the slightest for them to be romantically involved. So many threads already get derailed by overzealous arguments about ships - having Scott's brother become romantically involved with his ex-wife is only a recipe for disaster.

Didn't he do that with maddie?
Altough I don't see why would Jean settle for second best?

Oh, yeah, forgot about that. Ugh, why was that swept under the rug? Am I missing context here, or is it as horrible as it sounds?

Well, we agree that it's a bad idea romantically.

There are other characters outside the X-Men, people. She could date people like the Human Torch, the ideal rebound for redhead girls, or Bucky, who would understand the whole "being manipulated by higher powers" thing perfectly.

I'm just presenting options, there's a world out there. As long as she doesn't get with the fish prick, there are a lot of non mutant heroes who could have a cool relationship with her.

There's nothing between them that I can think of but awkwardness. Probably why writers won't let them meet...

    "I don't understand...What exactly did Cyclops do?"

I'm not saying that they need to get together but after reading both Astonishing X-Men and X-Men Red I believe that both Jean and Havok would create good chemistry together in a title.
Not everything needs to lead to a relationship.

    Thank you! Totally agree.

Granted I only have a male perspective on this, but if my options are a dead ex who wasn't entirely faithful to me, or 2-3 other men that either my best friend smashed or someone that I know personally smashed, then I'm getting the hell out of that town!

Jean needs someone new. Someone who may have experienced similar hardship and struggle in his life, but is otherwise unaffiliated with the X-Men. Marvel could do a "Bachelorette" type show featuring Jean and men, women, gods, abstracts, and maybe a sentient star or two from around the multiverse would immediately sign up for a chance to be with her. Beings who have never worn an X belt buckle -- that's who Jean should seriously date.
