I haven't seen this yet but curious - I know it bombed in theaters, but where would you guys rank this movie with the rest of the franchise?

It's at the bottom for me due to being bland and boring even origins I find entertaining if not in some parts for the wrong reasons

Just recently rewatched on a plane. Of the core seven X-men movies, it ranks last for me. Even Last Stand had a few redeemable qualities that Phoenix lacked.

Nothing in this movie felt earned or riveting.

Now that I've had some time away from this to think about it...every scene Magneto was in, I loved and would want to see again. Unless there's some Magneto cut that exists, though, I have no desire to ever see this movie again.

I have no idea what an "X-tended" cut would accomplish. I doubt it would re-interpret the bad guys as Shi'ar or something along those lines. More scenes cementing Scott and Jean's relationship? More Quicksilver? *shrugs*

This film wasn't good. While I liked some aspects of it overall it's a poor film. I think the biggest issue is that the Phoenix storyline is way too hard to adapt into a single live action film. Heck I think it's hard in animation too. MCU may be setup better to tackle something like it but even then I think it would have quality problems.
