It's because Sophie has decided to dress like a 45 yr old cougar for these past two conventions. Actually, she looks like a great young Emma Frost.

They only need to look compatible when they're in the movie.

We are aware Marvel is A place not to go for story. If you want story, non-cinematic films are the best place to find them, the thing with marvel is most of the fans I have met admit their movies are about bad and good jokes and generic entertainment. X-Men is more sophisticated, thought provoking. Story is most important. the movies usually do a good job translating that to screen 80% of the time. the 20% bad goes to X3 and Apocalypse. I can't fault Marvel fans here since I appreciate their honesty though I don't appreciate them insisting X-men is like their marvel movies since it isn't. never was.

And the trailers, mid and post-credits scenes part you mentioned is what fuels my dislike for cinematic films.I remember the days when I used to save money to buy dvds so I can get special features to see how the movie was made, what the team felt and experienced going into the film. that was what to look forward too not trailers and post credit scenes. I devoured my Spider-Man 2002 dvd and X2 DVD a year later. Today's generation now is more about trailers and social media hits. all very superficial that does not appreciate a movie's craft.

X-Men: 'Dark Phoenix' Is Beginning of a New Chapter for the Franchise Says Director

He really needs to release a new trailer and costume footage. Show, don't tell.

Depending on how this movie goes, it could be fresh. There's a lot they can do with who they have. This franchise always had/has potential. They need to show it more.

It's hard to read something so glaringly ridiculous and not come away skeptical.

We know Kinberg has spoken with Kevin Feige, who has a history with both the franchise and its creative team. Doesn’t seem so ridiculous when you consider those facts.

Why speak with Kevin Fiege, why not someone better. Steven Spielberg.
