I seriously doubt this is true, but it kept popping up yesterday: Dark Phoenix Could Be Disney's First X-Men Movie
I get that. I was more skeptical of the [theatrical] release part under Disney, especially if headlines will read 'Disney's First X-men Movie'. I'm being cynical, sorry.
edit: How do I post this as a video instead of a url?

Thanks. I tried that first and it didn't work.

There's probably a way to fix this...
I can see this falling victim to a cost-risk analysis by Disney, ie will it cost them more to shevel it on streaming and lose movie revenue? Or Would it hurt the brand to send products to theatres that they didn't create, lose the First Disney X-headline, possibly delay IP integration and lose an opportunity to advance their streaming service?
Time will tell, but I want to see this on the big screen:

https://www.newsweek.com/xmen-dark-p...c-2018-1156848And when she lets go with what we call Dark Phoenix, it’s a release for her. She finally stops and lets go and is euphoric and she becomes what this cosmic force wants her to be.
Glad they are making the Phoenix Force like an ecstacy drug, as Claremont depicted it.
Which Sophie knows all about in real life. So this role might be perfect for her. lol
I still want to see some really intense battles against villain teams.
This just came up about the Fox films under Disney.
http://www.darkhorizons.com/disney-f...-their-slates/Disney only released eight films last year, whereas Fox released fourteen. The latter’s output has already begun winding down but it’s not yet clear how many films from the various Fox brands Disney will release theatrically going forward beyond sure bets like the new “Avatar” and “Kingsman” sequels along with “X-Men” and “Deadpool” properties which will be output via Marvel Studios.
