While it's kind of cool that we're getting sort of accurate Morrison style costumes, looks like we have the same basic jacket look for Dark Jean as Last Stand.

I think that’s just her basic form. Her actual Phoenix form resembles Here Comes Tomorrow.

I hope the delays have helped them really solidify that look, as it could look pretty iffy with subpar effects. I'm excited to see it, all the same.

Jesus, Mary, & Joseph it's Last Stand without the cure plot the truck scene is now a train, Magneto's influence has been replaced by Jessica Chastain's Character and nothing looks cosmic before someone says the shuttle and Chastain's mobile observatory show it's sad when Apollo 13 was more cosmic than Dark Phoenix. Oh I should be over it but it is incredibly distracting Xavier, Magneto, Beast, & Quicksilver have barely aged since the 60's/70's in a movie set in the 90's.

In the comics the shuttle incident was a game changer for Jean's powers going forward. Here they've been setting up with Jean's powers being to powerful and Xavier controlling them since Apocalypse there is no hint to the Phoenix Entity is what's causing her power jump just Jean's powers going into overdrive during the shuttle accident like when fighting Apocalypse and her having a split personality like Last Stand and that an outside force Chastain here Magneto Last Stand is manipulating the alter. So far the cosmetics are different but the Jean story looks the same as Last Stand.

Yah. Or they are just dead set and stubborn enough to boldly evoke Last Stand in the trailer for ... some reason. Even if the movie is really totally different, their marketing seems kind of spiteful and dumb.
