There are multiple copies of the trailer on YouTube that take up audience views from the Fox channel. The FilmSelect version of the second trailer has more views than the one on the Fox channel. Fox has 10,081,649 views and FilmSelect has 13,161,810 views, which adds up to 23,243,459 views.

Truth is the Spider proprieties have always out performed the X-Men on the big screen going to Raimi's Spider-Man. It's good it's going up but comparing it in hopes to a Spider property is a little unfair.
Venom and Dark Phoenix’s teaser trailers are actually comparable in numbers. Venom’s teaser has 20 million views to Dark Phoenix’s 18 million views and Dark Phoenix’s would be at 24 million views when you add in the FilmSelect trailer views.

Venom’s second and final trailer were post-Infinity War.

Venom benefited from being a Spider-Man character not Infinity War Fiege and Holland both did interviews even clearly stating at the time Venom had no connections to the MCU. Ant-Man and the Wasp is MCU and had direct ties to Infinity War and never came close to Venom numbers.

    spoilers:
Endgame had a scene where all the movie characters united the fact there were no X characters made it clear to even causal fans the X-Men aren't part of the MCU
    end of spoilers

Dark Phoenix will thrive or bomb on it's own.

Never said it being thought as being apart of the MCU had anything to do with it. Venom simply appealed to Infinity War’s demographic. The trailer was selling an action packed Marvel branded superhero film that had a cool looking lead character. Of course being a known Spider-Man character was also a factor.

    Speaking of that.

    spoilers:
I’ve seen a lot on social media ask where the X-Men were at when Thanos attacked.
    end of spoilers

I missed the Movieclips upload which has 2.6 million views. So the first trailer has 27.6 million views.

What does that have to do with DP?

I want this to be successful. it would not be a good look for this to be a "burn off" even in the era of the MCU and the eventual integration of mutants into the disney system of Marvel movies.

I would like it to be successful tio. I've seen nothing from it yet to be optimistic about that, unfortunately.

Seems like a reference to Sophie Turner’s role with the glowing eye and crack. In the description she says “The Spring is coming” in reference to Game of Throne’s “Winter is a coming” and also mentions being a Marvel/superhero fan.
