A good adaptation can improve upon its source material.

Even DC did it with Aquaman.

MCU fanboys and nerds are going crazy over this "box office demise", but they cannot rewrite history. Poor guys.

Heck, even some out there realize that "Apocalypse" was a great movie. "The Last Stand" was a great movie. Both the movies were HUGE hits globally.

First Class is my favorite Fox X-Men film but it wasn't a big hit it made a profit that's it same for Apocalypse Dr. Strange made more than 100 million than Apocalypse in 2016 that says something. Oh there is no Deadpool 3.

Apocalypse was a huge success for the X-Men standards, like it or not:

X-Men: Apocalypse grossed $155.4 million in the U.S. and Canada and $388.5 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $543.9 million against a budget of $178 million.[4] The film is the fourth-highest-grossing film in the X-Men series (without adjusting for inflation), behind Deadpool, Logan, and X-Men: Days of Future Past.[98] It made 27% less than Days of Future Past.[99]

First Class was a mild hit. A hit nonetheless...

Hit by X-Men standard kind of says it all but not a hit by other franchises standards DC turned Aquaman into a Billion dollar film Fox couldn't do that with one X-Men character.

He's basically saying the XCU is playing at the kiddie table. He just has some deepdenial on the subject.

Yeah, while I don't like some of the movies and it did have quite a few retcon, it's fine as a franchise.

The biggest problem I'm with XCU is that Emma Frost didn't play a big role and my favorite villain Mr. Sinister didn't make appearance.

I don't think it's fair to be too harsh on a 19 years old movie franchise over consistency when its original material never cares about it.
It's different to not care about consistency when you've been telling stories monthly for 50 years versus telling a movie saga over a much shorter period of time with far less installments.

Comparing the two is kinda silly.

Doesn't matter, let's say take a look at any 5 years comic issue, you still can see many retcons and inconsistency.

They simply don't care about it. Let's say the whole Phoenix stuff was inconsistent in the comic.

Comparing the two is deeply flawed.

Continuity matters in film and TV for the vast majority of the audience. Comic book readers, not so much.
