Amalgam Universe: 21st Century

Forgive me if this has been done before

So back in the 90s DC and Marvel came together and did a few crossovers and eventually ended up merging their characters together in Amalgam Comics. I'm sure you guys are fully aware of this already. Well what if DC and Marvel were able to pull it off one more time for their heroes of today? Who would you pick? What would they be named? What would be their Amalgam backstory?

I can't think of any backstories right now but I'm gonna rattle off some combinations I think would be cool.

Batman + Black Panther = The Dark Panther
Superman + Captain America = Super-Soldier
Wonder Woman + Captain Marvel = Captain Wonder
GL John Stewart + Blue Marvel = Blue Builder
Hawkgirl + (She)Hulk = She-Hawk
Martian Manhunter + Doctor Strange = Martian Supreme
Cyborg + Iron Man = Cyborg Man
Aquaman + Thor = Poseidon
The Flash + Ghost Rider = Speed Demon
Wallace West + Miles Morales = Kid Arachnid
Nightwing + Spider-Man = Webwing
Steel (Natasha Irons) + Ironheart = Iron Maiden

Blue Marvel is the name of an actual Marvel hero, so that name would be avoided. This is why there's Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and Spider-Girl, but not Spider-Boy - that was Peter's amalgamation with Conner Kent.

Teen Titans and Champions could combine into Teen Champions. Their members would also be amalgamated, Steel and Ironheart being an obvious one as they're both black girls in powered armor. I'd call their amalgamation Steelheart.

Bruce of the Blood was a magician of middling talent during the reign of King Arthur, until a summoning ritual gone wrong fused him with a demon of rage. As an adult, Clark works as a doctor while his brother, Lex "the Mischief Maker," runs a huge corporation of questionable ethos that tries to monetize the supernatural. But when trouble rears its head, Blake makes a house call, hangs up his white coat and hefts his godly blade Hope Bringer as the heroic Sun God! Superman-Thor combo.

During World War II, the spirit of America feared the Axis might cross the oceans and threaten the States. To ensure our protection, Uncle Sam returned to his other-dimensional home; a place populated by worthy Americans plucked from reality called the Heartland, and threw a competition. The winner was a woman named Diana Rogers and she was blessed with the incredible powers of Life, Liberty and Freedom. Once the nazis were defeated, Diana chose to remain on earth instead of returning to the Heartland, to ensure that the people of the United States never forget the spirit that infuses the land or the ideals we're meant to strive for. While she works as a humble military nurse by day, the world knows her as the incredible American Wonder! Wonder Woman-Captain America combo.

Green Lantern-Captain Marvel combo.

I'm not sold on the name; but the Punisher is Marvel's closest analog to Batman, and I'd rather see that amalgam than the Batman/Wolverine one we got in the original Amalgam.

Well this kind of happened in the Marvel vs DC crossover from the 90s. Diana was able to lift the hammer and became an amalgam of both characters. With a very 90s costume redesign.

Yeah I know it’s the name of an actual Marvel character. I just thought it worked for that combo.
