Amalgam Universe: 21st Century

Morgaine le Fey + Morgan le Fay = Morgain le Fay (alternates between combinations/mixtures of Marvel Morgan's and DC Morgaine's various outfits, sometimes uses DC le Fay's mask, when unmasked, has DC Morgaine's hairstyle from Kirby's "The Demon"#16, but colored purple like Marvel Morgan).

Cassandra Cain + Psylocke =Betsy Cain/Psy-Bat. (Betsy's Asian Psylocke body, but with Cassandra's Eastern Asian-mix skin color, Cassandra's face and hairstyle with Psylocke's purple haircoloring, purple outfit that's a mix of Psylocke's 90's outfit and Cassandra's "Black Bat" costume, purple domino mask in the shape of one of Psylocke's butterly-looking face psy effect).

Lady Shiva + Spiral = Rita Wu-San/Spiral-Shiva the Destroyer (Lady Shiva with Spiral's six arms, platinum colored hair, and blank irises. Costume would probably be a mix of Shiva's outfit from the "Beware the Batman" animated series, but in blue with touches of Spiral's outfit, the yellow crown has the fins from Spiral's helmet. Probably also has the bare-foot-socks from Shiva's outfit from the recent "Batman: Hush" animated movie. All of Lady Shiva's martial arts but with more dancing in her techniques, as well as Spiral's magic, making her more like her namesake).

I'm still struggling with the Doom Patrol. They have such a strange connection to the Titans, and my Titans Amalgam is to the X-men.

My ideas are:

Doom Patrol + Fantastic Four - This one fits really easily, but the FF is such a HUGE part of the Marvel U in a way the DP isn't. I think my Superman Family/FF Amalgams ties in better.

To me it'd be:

Elasti-Girl + Mr. Fantastic = Fantasi-Girl
Mento + Invisible Woman = Incognito
Negative Man + Torch = Human Negative
Robotman + Thing = The Machine

Then Chief could be Agatha Harkness, Dr. Doom, Reed's dad, or H.E.R.B.I.E.

Doom Patrol + Alpha Flight - Eh. I like my AF + Infinity Inc Amalgam better. I do like the Sasquatch/Robotman idea though, since they're both the team tank's, and orange, and end up being a key to each re-launch. Plus, their was a fake version of each of them.

I guess you could do:

Mento + Guardian
Rita + Heather
Chief + Shaman
Celsius + Talisman
Negative Man + Northstar
Negative Woman + Aurora
Puck + Flex Mentallo

But the what about, like, Snowbird and Marrina. I dunno. I think my Infinity Inc one works better.

My main idea is the original 5 X-men + the original DP, with X-Factor as the other DP versions, so that the "All-New X-men" becomes the Titans. I like a lot of this, like The Brotherhood of Evil/Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, does tie across both teams in each, and I LOVE putting together The Danger Room with Danny the Street, and Maddox The Multiple Man together with Crazy Jane (each body has a different personality AND superpower), but then I don't know how to break it down, especially since I'd want to then 'amalgamate' The Phoenix Saga and The Judas Contract. Then things get messy.

My final thought was combining them with The Legion of Monsters because the DO tv series kind of reminds me of The Munsters. Plus, I like the idea of The Chief + Ghost Rider = Hellchair! But DP seems SO much more important than the LOM.

Green Lantern-Captain Marvel combo.

Pioneering programmer Aaron Ivo was tasked with building a drone for the military capable of autonomy and reactivity. He discovered that the military planned to use his invention to detain and torture alien life. Becoming a fugitive, he builds a beta project of what he would have given to the military; the Ion Machine!

Elasti-Girl + Angel = Elasti-Angel (both upbeat characters with money)
Negative Man + Iceman = Negative Temperature Man (both solid white colored characters retconned to be gay)
Chief + Cameron Hodge = Head Hodge (both humans involved with the team, both become disembodied heads after betraying their team)

Robotman + Professor X = Professor Techs/Cereborg (both mentor the new teams, and recruit them to avenge/rescue the first team)

Beast + Cyborg = Cyber-Beast (science based characters, both members of X-Factor/Doom Patrol [due to the DP TV show], X-Men/Teen Titans, New X-Men/New Teen Titans, as well as long-standing members of the JLA/Avengers)
Beast Boy + Cyclops = Boyclops (due to the Phoenix Contract story-line )
Mento + Jean Grey = Jean Dayton, Mental Girl, Mind-Phoenix, Crime-Phoenix (both are from the original team, both break bad)

Nightwing + Gambit = Blackjack (ties into Dark Devil foe Wildcard)
Donna Troy + Storm = Thunder Girl (ties to Thunder Woman, both characters goddess adjacent)
Starfire + Rogue = Rouge Star (ties to Kree Lantern/Carol Jordan)
Raven + Nightcrawler = Night Raven (both demi-demon, teleporters)
Terra I + Goblin Queen = Terra Queen (see where I'm going?)

I gotta work on some more, but I think that's a good foundation.

I think I want their main foes to be called The Brotherhood of Evil, Evil Mutants.

Also, Crazy Jaime, the Multiple, Multiple Woman is coming soon!

Yeah I know it’s the name of an actual Marvel character. I just thought it worked for that combo.

Amalgam actually has a number of characters who share a name with a character from either Marvel or DC. I’m not a fan of that, but it’s not a reason for dismissing the name entirely.

Was playing with another problem in my mind-lock: the Maximoff twins. Currently I'm thinking:

John Zatara + Monako The Magician = (some name to horrible to imagine)
Spindella + Magda = (some name to less horrible to imagine than her husband's)

They parent:

Zatanna + Scarlet Witch = Wandanna, the Starlet Witch

Who ends up adopted by:

Johnny Quick + Whizzer = Johnny Whiz
Liberty Belle + Miss America I = American Belle

Who parent:

Jessie Quick + Quicksilver = Jessie Quicksilver

And Jessie Quicksilver's adopted sister, Wandanna, the Starlet Witch, in turn ends up the....uh....kinda(?) mother to:

Zachery Zatara + Wiccan = Wiccan Magician

I'm going to continue to use this thread to cover my insanity of trying to come up with a 1000 character Amalgam Universe that all interlink in a way that proves out the works of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell.

1. Superman Family + Fantastic Four = Fantastic-Man-Fam

* This is based on something Alex Ross once said about Superman being the first icon of Sci-Fi superheroes. So, I tied Supes to the FF because I thought the FF was the main Sci-Fi book of the modern Marvel Universe.

2. Superman + Mr. Fantastic = Fantastic-Man

* The both the 'father figures' of their respective universes.

3. Lois Lane + Invisible Woman = Invisible-Girl-Reporter

* Both are like the 'mother-figure' of their universe.

4. Jimmy Olsen + Human Torch II = Flash-Photographer

* Both the 'annoying, little brother' types of their comic book family

5. Power Girl + Thing = Ms. Thing

* Both are the 'brawler' types of their comic book families. PG is easily annoyed by stupidity/BG is easily annoyed by Johnny

(Again, my thought is, the worse the name of an Amalgam character, the better the name of an Amalgam character. )

Need some time to re-work some of the villains, but here are the supporting cast, locations and villains for the "Fantastic-Man-Fam" (I won't write descriptions for all of them, as to keep what's left of my sanity...some I may add later):

* Angelic figures from space of both their comic families

* Main canine figure of their respective universes.

* Son of the parent figures

9. Lena Luthor + Valeria Richards = Valena Richards, Brainiacstorm

10. Steel + Ant-Man II = Armor-Ant

* Scientific ally. Both have memberships into the main superhero team of each universe. Both replaced the father-figure character when they were gone for a period.

11. Natasha Irons + Stature = Skyscraper

* Female family member of above character.

12. Supergirl (Matrix) + Ms. Marvel II = Ms. Matrix

* Both "deformed" alliterative of another member of their comic book family. Both the 2nd and less popular legacy version of a female character from their universes.

13. Maxima + Thundra = Maximum Thundra

* Powerful, other dimensional, red-headed husband hunters. Sometimes ally/sometimes enemy. Thundra is kinda like Wonder Woman. Maxima always reminded me of Phoenix. Each a member of the Revenge Squad/Frightful Four.

14. Jonathan Kent + Willie Lumpkin = Jonathan Lumpkin
15. Martha Kent + Agatha Harkness = Martha Harkness
16. Jor-El + Nathaniel Richards = Nathan-El
17. Lara-El + Evelyn Richards = Evlyn-El
