Ted Kord + Hank Mcoy= Blue Beest or Blue Beastle = Henry Kord- Scientific genius mutant tycoon- Unhappy as mutant. 5 o6 6 times stronger than any human and border line super human dexterity and agility.... but his physique is stocky and awkward and he has Bright blue hair. Tinkers around, finds a formula that he believes will eradicate outward signs of Mutant nature but of course it increases them. It also alters his brain chemistry so that his default mood is whimical and gregarious-= I'm figuring Ted's costume, only with a v neck chest to establish Hank's hariness and no boots or gloves His identity as a hero is public .... but he wears the costume to set the mood when its time for super heroing and also because its fun. Oh and lets say the formula is derived from some groovy supernatural or sci fi Beetle he has discovered.

The Sentry + Oracle = Watchtower.

Roberta Gordon was the world's greatest superhero, until a huge sacrifice during a crisis-like event left her paralysed and without most of her powers. Still equipped with her razor sharp mind and super senses, she directs the world's superhuman response to emerging threats, and acts as a voice of experience and moral guidance to a new era of heroes.

But what if all is not as it seems? What if to save the universe, Watchtower had to remove herself from the board? Who or what is the Infinite Jest, and will Watchtower take to the skies one final time...?

I love the name Thunder Woman and either DC or Marvel should publish a comic featuring this character immediately.

Well this kind of happened in the Marvel vs DC crossover from the 90s. Diana was able to lift the hammer and became an amalgam of both characters. With a very 90s costume redesign.

Default By the power of Nekron, I command this thread to...

So 'member when Marvel did that weird Infinity Warps thing last year? It didn't really go anywhere but I thought some of the combos were pretty cool (like Ghost Panther, he was dope) so let's see what you guys can come up with under that framework. Take 2 (3 if you're nasty) characters from the DC universe and let's see what you get.
SIGNAL/Duke Thomas is the Midnight Sun of Gotham (respect thread)
    John Stewart is my Lantern.

This seems like the appropriate thread --

Given the state of the market these days, it seems like madness to me that Marvel and DC can't put aside their differences and churn out new company crossovers. Would an updated Marvel vs DC or round of Amalgam comics not sell like crazy? Would a JLA vs Avengers hardcover not do well in bookstores? Would marketing not go nuts with a Deadpool vs Harley Quinn mini? As stagnant as sales are, seems weird that both sides are so actively against a guaranteed cash cow.

Well it's one of those things that's a last resort. From my understanding Amalgam came about around the time of the comic bust so they were more desperate. Now that comic properties are so hot, even if the book sales are kinda low they aren't in the same dire straights. The cross-company team up seems so huge that I don't see them wanting to pull the trigger unless they REALLY need to. That's just my guess tho, I think it would be smart to do a crossover once in a while, I just don't think it will ever happen; at least not anytime soon.
