Default DC should expand her superheroes!

I felt that DC should make an effort to expand her superheroes world.
Besides batman, superman and wonderwoman, not many superheroes of dc is well known.
    This is unlike marvel.

The best you can hope for is what CW is doing. The comic book industry is tiny.

So far that's what the movies are doing thank god. Aquaman and Shazam are getting their own movies which I would've never expected. Wonder Woman is finally getting some love outside comics.

Oh yeah the T.V shows are working on this as well.

It's tough to resist maximizing known IP cash cows, rather than gambling on unknowns. That said, as others have mentioned, they are trying.

They certainly are trying with those Dark Matter titles (or whatever they're calling them). I would rather see a big push/reintroduction of more B or C list characters, but that doesn't seem to pay off enough for it to become a trend. It would need a big name creator who really has love for that character, otherwise those efforts tend to die on the vine.

Ten years ago, before the Marvel Cinematic Universe, how many Marvel heroes would your average man on the street have known? Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine? They were probably the only ones anywhere near as well known as the Trinity - because of the movies, Spider-Man's 1960s cartoon with it's famous theme tune, and Hulk's 1970s TV show.

    What do you mean "expand"?
    * More comic books featuring other heroes? DC has many comic book titles that don't star Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman already.
    * More movies without the focus specifically on Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman? They're trying that, too, though in the past several years they had movies with Green Lantern and with Jonah Hex that were not successful.
    * More TV shows that don't feature just Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman? Well, on the CW they have shows like Arrow (Green Arrow), Flash, and Black Lightning, not to mention Superman's cousin Supergirl. And those shows have had other heroes appear in them. We also have a Batwoman show coming. Does Marvel currently have a show starring a lesbian lead character?
So again, how do you mean "make an effort to expand"?

The Problem is DC wants to get rid of the JSA, Adult Titans, Legion Of Superheroes etc. but from Crisis to Flashpoint it’s done in a disrespectful manner unlike Flash/GL of the Silver Age so old fans always want them back but DC always takes it slow and by the time you may get your hero back but a reboot will happen or DC doesn’t want to write their stories anymore so the kill them/make them evil to ruin the character and silence any demands. This has the added effect because DC has clearly placed the JLA above any team to the point it’s more likely they need to team up with supervillains while if that less than the JL team is around they will be no more than cannon fodder. So if DC decides to create a new superhero group like Terrifics, Unexpected, Immortal Men etc. they last less than 2 years because the very idea of there importance stands against the current status quo. The same goes for individual superheroes like Silencer or Sideways who are trying to be relevant to a fan base more concerned about getting there beloved heroes back just like Barry-Flash came back after 30 years. DC will never be able to establish New Superheroes under this current format since if it’s not the JL they are irrelevant.
