I am really looking forward to this. Love me some Invaders, as long the property is in the right hands. Zdarsky and Guice are on this book so it should be great...

I hope so too! Steve and Bucky are very popular characters so I wouldn't mind less panel time for them if we got more Jim and Namor, and poor Toro is always being left out. I do love all the interactions on the team but I'm really hoping the focus is more on Jim and Namor.

Oh no. I hope this isn't going to be 'holier than thou' Cap.
I thought someone had posted the Zdarsky promo he did for Namor, but I didn't see it. So...

Well, I was at work, so all the joyful screaming was on the inside.
I was very happy at the announcement of Butch Guice on this book -- though I didn't care for his Invaders cover -- because he was one of the artists on the Invader arc in Brubaker's Captain America that was called Man Without a Face / Old Friends and Enemies. And that was awesome! As is this. So glad he's doing all the WWII flashback scenes.
I love the two panels with Torch. He seems so ... above it all, but shining brightly.
I'm wondering about Cap, though, and his "positive" statement is so tragically ironic.

No new images or spoilers, but Adventures in Poor Taste has a great review up on Invaders. They gave it a TEN!!!

How to turn your man on in 10 words or less--
"...rings with the potency of a Mark Gruenwald comic."

LOL! I saw that and my eyebrows climbed. It's a rare bit of praise, indeed.
I also liked the comparison of the artists to Lee Weeks and and Doug Mahnke -- two of my favs. Though I've liked Guice since his Dr. Strange covers. And Magno was magnificent -- that's what we should start calling him -- in Lantern City. I'm surprised the man can still see, after all the detail he crammned in to that book.
