I hear you but who said she doesn't follow Exodus' mantra? She rolled with Exodus for years.In my idea I explore Exodus and her dynamic in flashbacks precisely because of how loyal she was to the cause, she was his favourite Acolyte because she was unyeilding and relentless so much so that she wanted Exodus to get out of Magneto's shadow and make the dream a reality as a separate faction(while Joseph and Amelia were scheming to usurp the Acolytes)..Anyway there's more to the story but there's a reason why in the present he is still alone and she is too.. suffice it to say he is the cause and even 'basilisk' has a role to play ..but not the way many imagine

I drew a different conclusion from the aftermath of Age of X. For the first time in Frenzy's life, she was a hero. When people shouted her name, it was because her coming inspired hope rather than fear. It was something that forced a redefining of the core of who she was, or at least who she thought she was. Despite it being a crapsack world, for possibly the first time in her life since she was a small child, she was happy. She had something to live for, something to believe in, and someone who loved her for who she was. She wants all those things again, and in some way she sees them as a matched set. Not having one means she might not have any of them.

I think in X-men Legacy 260s when Exodus was fighting to reunify mutants after Schism he claimed he was celibate so it would be kind of funny to see Frenzy not only acknowledging that Exodus was right since Krakoa is a thing.

While they were fighting Exodus said Frenzy would be great if she didn't have her feelings for Cyclops weighing her down.

In that fight he said something key he said 'I blame myself for this ,for leaving you without purpose' in my fictional story there is a reason she acts like he abandoned the acolytes, she doesn't remember what really happened. The story also explains why she developed feelings for Scott, although it's a heavy retcon- although I actually ship Joanna and Scott, and think that Age of X is as real as any universe in that 'subjective time' because of time dilation ..writers seem to designate that reality as unreal with the stroke of a pen- so to give it a semblance of realism ,the 'basilisk' is key to the story, it is a name only ascribed to Scott in Age of X ,but the relevance of the 'basilisk' actually is tied to her history with Exodus
