The point of the show is about how, back in the 90s, he was in a very famous tv show.

Watership down? The one with the crazy Rabbits.................... nah.
The J-man
Watership Down. I was gifted that novel when young by a cousin. Think I read it straight through barring dinner times. Pretty much the only long novel I ever did that with save for The Lord Of The Rings which I read straight through over a long weekend at the end of which my eyes were blood red and I could barely lift them. (It was worth it!)
WD was not as good as TLOTR, but that book did end being pretty dog-eared by the time I lost it during a move. Great story, print or animated.
LOTR attempted an animated version about the same time[?], but it only did Fellowship of the Ring. Was very disappointed they never got to the other two books. Was relieved when the life action take didn't suffer that problem.
Ghost in the Shell movies.
Macross.
Do Looney Tunes count? Some of those eppies got kind of risque (even if I didn't realize that at the time.)
Parental care is way exhausting. Gained insight into what my parents went through when I was a baby. Not fun, but what ya gonna do? (Read comics, obviously.)
The Return of the King (1980) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079802/
A lot has already been said.
Crying Freeman.

...and the ones I'll always love, flaws and all
Full Metal Panic - I'm the only person I've ever known who likes this and I don't care
Sailor Moon - a classic
Cardcaptor Sakura - means the world to me
DBZ - another classic, I used to tape every episode, then immediately rewatch it three times
Yuri on Ice - my figure skating-loving, queer heart is so blessed
Detective Conan - my ultimate happy place
Naruto (pre-Shippuden) - yep.
Oh and Makoto Shinkai stuff because it's gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
Well, other people had listed stuff that would be considered for children, so I thought I'd mention some too. Sorry. Anyway, there's a lot of children's animation with adult themes that adults can also enjoy, and imo the line is blurred. I also meant to put Animaniacs in there--that show was on Kids WB, but had adult jokes in it all the time.
Have you seen Ninja Scroll and Mononoke?
Devilman Crybaby blew me away!
