    Default RIP Carlos Ezquerra 12 November 1947 – 1 October 2018

Sad day the creator of Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog has passed away looks like related to lung cancer. For American work he has done some books with Garth Ennis and did a Preacher one-shot along with a Hitman annual.

Incredibly sad news. A master of his craft. His work on Dredd and Strontium Dog in particular will always be among my favourites.

Very sad news... He was one of the great artists in British Comics and helped create two of my all time favourites.
Sadly I haven’t got the early 2000ad’s anymore, but I still have the complete run of StarLord comics minus issue 3.

The word legend does get bandied around a little too easily of course but to my mind as far as British comics is concerned I believe that the title is deserved when discussing Carlos Ezquerra. He's right up there with the best.

Not only a truly great artist but also a truly great person. I met him at a Con and he was a really nice guy. He spent the whole day doing free sketches for fans. Con organisers told me he was also a pleasure to deal with as well. All he asked for was the occasional bar of chocolate to munch on while he sketched all day.
