Gabby's matter-of-factly attitude about the whole thing really sells the moment, and I love it.

And well, Kurt and Rachel are indeed adults and she didn't actually raise Rachel. Jean's actually closer to Kurt to begin with, though that's on Marvel.

Unless X-Men Red happened after X-Men gold 36 which is impossible because Gambit is there instead of honeymooning somewhere.

It's not impossible. Probably set between Mr and Mrs X issues 5 and 6.

That line felt kind of amusing to me considering Taylor's Laura was Laura at her least stoic, setting aside her more OOC characterization under Hopeless.

This looks awesome, though the art is a small step down from previous issues imo.

I know the team is going to help somehow even though jean asked them to stand down. Jean will probably go head to head with Cassandra but I imagine the team (particularly Kurt) will have some role in helping with Rachel.

I don't get what Marvel wants of Jean and Rachel. Some times they act like they think of the other as mother/daughter and other times dont. Wish they were more consistent.

Can you elaborate? Which vibe are yo getting from this preview? That they do or don’t have a mother daughter relationship.

To me the mother daughter relationship is coming through crystal clear. Jean is simply saying her daughter is a grown woman and nightcrawler has no need to care about what jean’s opinions on their relationship are because they are all grown ups.
