Danger Room Battle Royal

A simulation of a mock X-Men battle has been going Viral at the School, a group of X-Men were put in to teams of three and fought in a battle Royal. A lot of questions and doubt were toss around about the outcome of the battle, which Havok, Psylocke and Jean Grey won. 2nd place was Emma Frost, Danger and Magik. 3rd Storm, Colossus and Archangel. And in 4th Cyclops, Warpath and Polaris. The students had debts about the fight.

1 Telepaths have an unfair advantage against everyone.
2. Teleporters can leave and come back from to fight.
3. Some People are too powerful.
4. Not all of the X-men were in the battles
5. Where is the Location of the fight?
6. Is there Prep time?

In Beast Lab,
Dr. Nemesis, Beast, Storm, Jean Grey and Logan are talking about mock battle video. They are sitting around the table. Wolverine just enters with a pack of beer and sits at the table.

“Hank I’m not blaming you. I’m mad that someone took data from our danger room sessions and made this video” Storm said reassuring Hank

“That’s easy for you to say. At least you was in the top four my team didn’t make it to the second round. I got taken early.” Wolverine open his beer.

Dr. Nemesis slams his hand on the table. And start pacing around the table.

“This is not funny, I wasn’t even in it. Don’t they know how incredible helpful I could be in this type of battle. This mock battle is an insult to all of the X-Men. How did they forget Iceman! He was a founding member for crying out loud! We need to make
another video, done right. Of course I will make the it, I might need your help hank. Forge your skills will be needed as well. Logan might your stra-“

“Stop!” Jean stood up “We are not going to do another mock battle. That would only bring more debts.”

“Says the girl who won.”

Jean turns to Logan, with a look that says say don’t start with me.

“Sorry red, but I don’t see a problem with it. I personally find it fun.” Logan admitted as he took another sip of beer.

“I agree with Logan.”

Everyone look at Storm with shock, save Logan who only raised an eyebrow and a smirk.

“The point being students are not going to stop till they get an answer. We can use this as to our advantage, this will lead to students want to beat their teachers with strategies of their own. So why not make a club out of it, the students will make their own teams, we will monitor the matches.”

Beast nodded

“This could help build leadership, strategics, and problem solving skills. We should do this.”

Jean let out a sigh, then chuckled

“Ok, So let make some ground rules.”


Location: Danger Room
Powers:
1. Lethal force is not allowed
2. Power dampeners are active from keeping everyone in the same power level. Omega mutant are powered down.
3. Telepaths will have their powers blocked. To prevent mental damage and quick KO’s.

Prep Time: One Week

You will vote on your top 3 teams.
You can only vote on a team one time
You cannot vote three times on the same team.

Request for future team or ideas will be saved for another date.

This looks good and i love the setup!! but question. All the other xmen not in the top four teams were eliminated from this one? And how do you denote which is your top team versus second and third? Is this a point system?

Were going to start over, for the factors i listed above. everyone gets 3 votes. so you can pick the three teams they think should win.
It can be based off skill, power or your favorite characters.

Some of these teams are a lot less balanced than the other thread.

It's a no brainer as to who will win out in most of these.

This was really tough and very simple at the same time, I can't see most of the teams having much of a chance. I still think that the Emma, Danger and Magik team is the best designed most well rounded. Its arguably the most powerful and has the fewest exploitable weaknesses, but Jean, Cyclops and Storm in my opinion would still come out on top (even if only just). Their just too good at what they do and too experienced. I just can't bring myself to give the edge to any other team. After those two it was a tough call between Magneto, M and Sabertooth or Wolverine, Rogue and Joseph. Felt I had to give the edge to Mag's team but again only by a hair. (Now if you were to swap Joseph and Magneto... that would be one hell of a team, right up there with the other two. Probably make it a complete toss up between the 3 for the top spot... Also that'd be one hell of an awesome team)

The other teams... I just don't see them in the same league as the top 4.

The Rules cripple a good few of these people, but my votes are.

Special Note - Prep time could be major here for Beast, Forge & Doc Nemesis. Tech to dampen powers completely, absorbed/redirect energy, protective force fields, etc. I can see this team being a major threat.

1st people to respond get my vote. Northstar, Quicksilver and maybe M can do a lot of damage real quick. Emma Danger and Majik. Would have been my next. Normally I would put the telepaths a the top.

Of all the teams, I shudder to think what horrors The Amoral X-Scientists could come up with in a week's time (and that's not even taking into account Forge's mystic powers). Danger and Magik still get my note as the most inherently dangerous opponents even against the sheer power of a Jean/Storm team utilizing Cyclops/Storm tactics. Emma's diamond form can still take lots of punishment so she can soak some damage while Danger and Magik stomp.
