    Default Ego: Superpower or Superweakness?

If a Character has a massive ego, can they use it as a superpower or is it only a Superweakness? Any good examples?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

How would one use a large ego as a power?

Well the largest Ego is a sentient planet and/or Kurt Russell. That's always a handy superpower to have...

Depends on the writer. Some will use it to make the character a meme badass like Wolverine, Batman, and Doctor Doom. Others will use it as a reason to make a character faceplant and go on a redemption arc.

I think with Wolverine and Batman, you're talking willpower.

Doom has a lot of ego, but he kind of matches his own view of himself, as well.
    Why are we here?

"...dropping an orca whale made of fire on your enemies is a pretty strong opening move." - Nik
"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate

In comics those tend to go together, thanks to the power of meme. Wolverine wasn't portrayed as especially strong-willed initially, but once he started talking about being the best there is at what he does, writers also started gradually giving him showings that fit with the bragging. There's a synergy to these things, except when a writer's intent is to set up a redemption arc.

the question I have is "what is ego?".... Are you saying self-confidence? Or are you saying megalomaniac/I am God type stuff? because I believe Kallark (Gladiator) has #1 as a superpower but once you go to level 2 it becomes a detriment.
The Recipe for Disaster asks for Blasphemy, but as for me, ask for me, I give it gravity.

Gladiator's powers go up and down depending on how confident he is in himself. Does that count?

I think Ranma had a ki blast using his ego as power, but I may be misremembering.

It wasn't as powerful as Ryouga's Depression based Ki attack, but yeah Ranma's attack was based on Self-Confidence which is a manifestation of Ego.
