What did Sephiroth do to you?
Seriously, I don't think Seph can even hurt Kenshiro here.
Depends which Ken shows up.
HNK-0 Ken gets hosed by AOE's, since he's just awakened into the role of the heir.
Pre-Souther Ken puts up a good fight, but doesn't have the monsterous feats of post-Raoh/HNK-2 Ken. 50/50 I reckon?
Post-Raoh Ken is where things begin to get ugly for Sephiroth. At this point Ken has Muso Tensei at this disposal.
Pre-Kaioh or post-Kaioh Ken/HNK-2, same difference. Sephiroth is...already dead. At this point Ken has all the secrets of Hokuto at his disposal, not just Muso Tensei. Including the stuff he's ripped from the other schools...after seeing them just once.
End of Manga Ken asks Sephiroth how he would like to die, and when the match begins, tells him "he's already dead" before his hand even began moving towards the Masamune. After which he stabs himself with the Masamune due to some funky pressure points Ken made up there and then...

Why are we here?
"Superboy Prime (the yelling guy if he needs clarification)..." - Postmania
"...dropping an orca whale made of fire on your enemies is a pretty strong opening move." - Nik
"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate
I'm struggling to think of any area Sephiroth wins out over Kenshiro.
Kenshiro's got him beat in:
- Strength
- Speed
- Martial Arts
- Tailors
- Hair stylists
- Not losing to normie scrubs
- Killing members of his family reunions
- Murdering people in office buildings
- Videogames
- Spinoff videogames that alter the canon
- Soundtracks
- Beating Gackt even though he is the co-producer
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

I was going to point to that Advent Children fight with Cloud, but nope, you're right, Kenshiro wins again.
We only saw bits of the Shinra building fall down on Cloud in chunks, can't compare to Kenshiro's one-shot, falling onto his head, walking through it to make it look like he did it on purpose.
What about Sephiroth's magic? I don't know all that much about Kenshiro, besides the fact that he's strong, fast, and skilled, so does he have any ranged attacks? I know Sephiroth does so if Kenshiro does not, that could play a role in the fight, possibly netting Sephiroth a victory a few times out of ten.
Wait, wait... When did Sephiroth lose to "Normie scrubs"? FF7 was one long "Sephiroth murders his way around the world to get what he wants" storyline.
The two sets people I remember him losing to were the protagonists (who are, again Video Game Protagonists, and thus pretty far away from Normie) and Kid Tifa who had already been training with the World's Greatest Martial Artist or whatever and was strong enough to lift the sword so heavy only Sephiroth could wield it properly. So again, pretty far out of "Normie" territory.
Unless they made him a pansy in Crisis Core... I never played that one.
