My name is Wally West. I"m the fastest man alive. I"m the Flash.
Favorite Heroes - 1-Flash/Wally West, 2-Superman, 3-Green Lantern/Hal Jordan, 4-Nightwing, 5-Hawkman, 6-Firestorm, 7-Supergirl/Linda Danvers, 8-Zatanna, 9-Robin/Tim Drake
I'd much rather have an anniversary cover like this
than a cover like this
These bland covers were the norm for deluxe anniversary covers in 1995 when THE FLASH 100 came out--luckily there were variant covers that had a proper cover image.
But the original SUPERMAN 100 cover from 1955 serves to look back on the previous 99 issues. Even though it arbitrarily shows 1, 25, 50 and 75--those happen to be worthy issues--number 1 for obvious reasons; 25 has significant stories including Siegel & Shuster's parody "King of the Comic Books" and the cover art complements that story; 50 lucked out in featuring the first two Superman stories ever written by Edmond Hamilton, who would turn out to be a very important Superman writer; and 75's cover is also the splash page for "The Man Who Stole Memories" inside that comic, where Lois has amnesia and has to learn everything all over again, including the facts about Superman. The cover art also represents 5 of the most important Superman artists at the time--Win Mortimer did the new image of Superman, while Joe Shuster did the cover for the first issue, Jack Burnley for 25, Wayne Boring for 50 and Al Plastino for 75.

YOUNG LOVE, 1972, John Rosenberger & Vince Colletta.
Finding the 100th issues isn't the hard part--it's finding images to post that ain't easy.
I don't think there was. At least it's not shown on any databases I've looked at.
YOUNG ROMANCE already had its 100th issue in 1959, when it was being published by Prize--however, the numbering is weird on the Prize issues, so the number is a bit dodgey. Joe Simon was possibly the cover artist. YR became a DC title in 1963 with issue 125.
spoilers:end of spoilers
Mike's Amazing World has this list. Some of the issues in the 90s had deluxe versions as well.

How do you figure? They really popped on the rack, AND they were even typically important issues. I think that's the one where Green Arrow died... and Wonder Woman's was where she was 'retired' and Artemis took over... Didn't Wally get sucked into the Speed Force in his?
Those holographic covers were pretty cool.
