As for me, it is because I am a christian and my avatar shows Jesus with a group of children!

I'm a longtime fan of the Punisher who was created by Gerry Conway, Ross Andru and John Romita Sr. and had been, in part, lovingly copied from the paperback adventures of Don Pendleton's The Executioner. Here, Frank Castle is drawn by the late Steve Dillon who, for my money, is THE best artist EVER to draw the Punisher.

Since spring 2017 my avatar is an ureadable screen cap of the purple sea Dale Cooper is looking at in Twin Peaks the Return part 3.

But when I started posting here - when Doom was god - for a time I went with Varvara from the BPRD pages, drinking what I think is probably a kind of Soviet mineral water...

It's Dr. McNinja, a Doctor who is a Ninja who's done such things as treat Paul Bunyan's disease, punch out ghosts because he can sing the Ghostbusters theme, out fight a magical-miming Ronald McDonald, surfed a robotic duplicate of Dracula back to Earth from Dracula's Moon Base, and regularly one-punches Dinosaurs.

I didn't recognize that as Shang Chi. Sure you shouldn't go with Gulacy or ZecK?

Why my avatar? It's a great Jim Aparo-drawn image of my favorite superhero during the Bronze Age. I took the name Darknight Detective because it was, arguably, the most well-known sobriquet for Bats during that same time.
